Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of Cynergy dual-wavelength laser combined with conventional anti-scar treatment regimen on early hypertrophic scar in children. Methods A total of 66 children with hypertrophic scar admitted to the Department of Plastic Surgery, Wuhan Third Hospital from September 2022 to February 2024 were selected. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 33 children in each group. The control group was given conventional anti-scar treatment (topical silicone-based drugs+pressure therapy), and the observation group was given Cynergy dual-wavelength laser (dual-wavelength PDL/Nd:YAG laser) on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, scar severity [Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS)], treatment satisfaction and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 93.94%, which was higher than 75.76% in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of melanin, height, pliability and vascularity in the groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). After 9 months of treatment, the total satisfaction of family members in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05), and no serious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups. Conclusion For children with early hypertrophic scar, Cynergy dual-wavelength laser combined with conventional anti-scar treatment regimen can achieve better therapeutic effect, help to improve the scar condition, increase family member satisfaction, and ensure higher safety.
