Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of Kingbike elastic silicone patch in the treatment of scars after plastic surgery. Methods A total of 66 patients with scars after plastic surgery admitted to Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital from November 2023 to October 2024 were selected as the research subjects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the study group, with 33 patients in each group. The control group was given traditional silicone patch, and the study group was given Kingbike elastic silicone patch. The scar width, scar severity[Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS) scores], patient satisfaction and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The scar width in the study group was smaller than that in the control group. The scores of vascularity and melanin dimensions in the VSS scores of the study group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05), while there were no significant differences in the scores of pliability and height between the two groups (P >0.05). The patient satisfaction in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the incidence of complications was lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Compared with the traditional silicone patch, Kingbike elastic silicone patch can reduce the scar width in patients with scars after plastic surgery, improve the scar symptoms, reduce the incidence of complications, and it has high patient satisfaction.
