Objective To analyze the aesthetic effect of orthodontics combined with oral implantation for patients with dentition defect. Methods According to the random number table method, 70 patients with dentition defect admitted to Ningxia GEM Flower Hospital from January 2021 to January 2024 were divided into control group (35 patients) and observation group (35 patients). The control group received oral implantation treatment, and the observation group received orthodontics combined with oral implantation treatment. The treatment effect, aesthetics, dental function and complications were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the total effective rate of treatment of 80.00% in the control group, the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher, reaching 97.14% (P <0.05). Compared with the control group, the scores of neat tooth arrangement, comfortable occlusion and good adjacent relationship in the observation group were higher, and the scores of masticatory function and articulatory function after operation in the observation group were also higher (P <0.05). Compared with the incidence of complications of 17.14% in the control group, the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower, only 2.86% (P <0.05). Conclusion During the treatment of patients with dentition defect, orthodontics combined with oral implantation has a good effect. It can improve the dental aesthetics, enhance the dental function, and reduce the incidence of complications.
