Abstract:Objective To observe the treatment and prognosis of orthodontics combined with oral restoration therapy for congenital missing teeth. Methods A total of 88 patients with congenital missing teeth admitted to Beijing Rytime Dental Hospital from September 2021 to October 2022 were selected. According to different treatment plans, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 44 patients in each group. The control group received oral restoration therapy, and the observation group received oral restoration combined with orthodontics therapy. The oral function, treatment effect, periodontal indicators, complications and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the scores of language function, masticatory function and quality of life in the observation group were higher after treatment, and SBI, PD and GI were better (P <0.05). Compared with the total effective rate of treatment (86.36%) and the incidence of complications (9.09%) of the control group, the total effective rate of treatment (97.73%) of the observation group was higher, and the incidence of complications (2.27%) was lower (P <0.05). Conclusion Orthodontics combined with oral restoration therapy can improve the oral function of patients with congenital missing teeth, enhance the treatment effect, and improve periodontal indicators, which is w orthy of clinical application.
