Abstract:Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of precise anatomical repair on patients with lip laceration and its impact on the oral function and appearance of the patients. Methods: Eighty patients diagnosed with lip laceration who were admitted to the Trauma Center of the Emergency Medicine Department of Zhuhai Fifth People"s Hospital from February 2022 to February 2025 were selected. According to the principle of the random number table method, the patients were divided into the observation group (n=40) and the control group (n=40). The control group was treated with conventional debridement and suture, while the patients in the observation group were treated with precise anatomical repair. Compare the restoration effects, oral functions and aesthetic appeal of the two groups. Results: After one month of postoperative follow-up, the nostril width, nostril height, alar length, nasal deviation, alar oral Angle distance, and nasal tip deviation of both groups of patients were all lower than those before the operation, and all the indicators in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). One month after the operation, the OHIP-14 scores of both groups were higher than those before the operation, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05). The patients were followed up for one month after the operation. The scores of symmetry, scar condition, lip shape and color, and overall coordination in the appearance impact questionnaire of both groups were higher than those before the operation, and the scores of each item in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: For patients with lip laceration, the treatment method of precise anatomical repair can improve the lesion condition and oral function, reduce the impact of the lesion on the patient"s appearance, and achieve good therapeutic effects.
