Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of invisible ceramic brackets on oral function and dental aesthetics in patients undergoing orthodontics. Methods A total of 106 patients who received orthodontics treatment in Yongning Dental Clinic of Nanning Xinlantian Medical Investment Co., Ltd. from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the research subjects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 53 patients in each group. The control group was given metal bracket orthodontics, and the observation group was given invisible ceramic bracket orthodontics. The oral function, dental aesthetics, occlusal function, periodontal indexes and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of speech function, masticatory function and invisibility function in the observation group after correction were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of color matching, tooth anatomical shape, gingival margin coloring and marginal fit in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After correction, MF in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and occlusion rate was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in MFT between the two groups (P>0.05). The gingival index, plaque index and periodontal pocket depth in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction rate of the observation group (96.67%) was higher than that of the control group (70.00%) (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of invisible ceramic brackets for orthodontics can effectively improve the oral function and dental aesthetics of patients, promote the recovery of periodontal indexes, does not affect occlusal function, and has high patient satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical application.
