Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of periodontal therapy combined with orthodontics on periodontal indexes and inflammatory factor levels in patients with anterior teeth displacement caused by periodontitis. Methods A total of 64 patients with anterior teeth displacement caused by periodontitis admitted to Hangzhou Hangmei Zhongrui Dental Clinic from January 2022 to July 2023 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, with 32 patients in each group. The control group received periodontal therapy (basic periodontal therapy+periodontal splint therapy), and the observation group received orthodontics treatment on the basis of the control group. The periodontal indexes, inflammatory factor levels, clinical efficacy and aesthetic effect were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the PD, PLI and GI in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the level of IL-10 was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group (96.88%) was higher than that in the control group (78.13%) (P <0.05). The scores of PES and WES in the observation group after treatment were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Periodontal therapy combined with orthodontics has a good effect in patients with anterior teeth displacement caused by periodontitis. It can effectively improve the patients' periodontal indexes and inflammatory factor levels, and the aesthetic effect of teeth after treatment is ideal, which is worthy of clinical application.
