Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of acupoint injection based on theory of meridians and acupoints on skin aging and laxity in patients undergoing periorbital rejuvenation. Methods A total of 36 patients who underwent periorbital rejuvenation in Changsha Mylike Medical Cosmetic Hospital from June to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the control group and the study group by the random number table method, with 18 patients in each group. The control group was treated with hyaluronic acid composite solution injection, and the study group was treated with acupoint injection based on theory of meridians and acupoints on the basis of the control group. The skin aging and laxity, periorbital wrinkles and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of skin aging and skin laxity in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of fishtail lines, glabellar lines and infraorbital wrinkles in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of pain and adverse reactions in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the improvement satisfaction score was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Compared with ordinary filling injection therapy, acupoint injection based on theory of meridians and acupoints has a better effect in patients undergoing periorbital rejuvenation, which can effectively improve skin aging and laxity, help to reduce periorbital wrinkles, and improve patient satisfaction, thus being worthy of clinical application.
