Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of modified Park method double eyelid surgery in patients with mild ptosis. Methods A total of 110 patients with mild ptosis admitted to Xi'an Weiyang Fengcheng Second Road Medical Beauty Clinic, Shaanxi Xinsuyuanmei Medical Beauty Co., Ltd. from January 2022 to January 2025 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the study group according to different surgical methods, with 55 patients in each group. The control group underwent traditional Park method double eyelid surgery, and the study group underwent modified Park method double eyelid surgery. The surgery-related indicators, correction effect, complication rate, periocular tissue swelling severity score, levator palpebrae superioris muscle strength and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The surgical time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, and the intraoperative blood loss was less than that of the control group (P <0.05). The effective rate of correction in the study group (96.36%) was higher than that in the control group (76.36%) (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group (3.64%) was lower than that in the control group (16.36%) (P <0.05). The periocular tissue swelling severity score of the study group at 1 month after surgery was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). The levator palpebrae superioris muscle strength of the study group at 3 months after surgery was higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction of the study group (94.55%) was higher than that of the control group (80.00%) (P <0.05).Conclusion The application of modified Park method double eyelid surgery in the treatment of mild ptosis can effectively shorten the surgical time, reduce intraoperative blood loss, lower the incidence of postoperative complications, with mild periocular tissue swelling after surgery and higher levator palpebrae superioris muscle strength, which has positive significance for improving correction effect and patient satisfaction.
