Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of continuous nursing based on the iceberg concept in patients with dental pulp disease. Methods A total of 60 patients with dental pulp disease admitted to Guiyang Hospital of Stomatology from January to December 2024 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the reference group and the study group according to the random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. The reference group was intervened with conventional nursing, and the study group was intervened with continuous nursing based on the iceberg concept on the basis of the reference group. The quality of life, compliance rate, masticatory function, disease cognition, anxiety and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The quality of life score of the study group after nursing was (92.33±2.25)scores, which was higher than that of the reference group [(82.33±3.16)scores] (P <0.05). The total compliance rate of the study group was 96.67%, which was higher than that of the reference group (73.33%) (P<0.05). The occlusal force and masticatory efficiency of the study group after nursing were higher than those of the reference group (P<0.05). The disease cognition score of the study group after nursing was higher than that of the reference group, while the MDAS score was lower than that of the reference group (P <0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the study group was 96.67%, which was higher than that of the reference group (73.33%) (P <0.05). Conclusion Continuous nursing based on the iceberg concept combined with conventional nursing in the treatment of dental pulp disease can effectively improve patients' quality of life, enhance masticatory function, disease cognition and compliance, reduce anxiety, thereby improving nursing satisfaction.
