Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of dual-mode health education combined with psychological counseling on health knowledge mastery and treatment compliance in patients with scar repair. Methods A total of 116 patients who underwent scar repair in Danjiangkou First Hospital from August 2021 to September 2023 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 58 patients in each group. The control group received conventional nursing, and the observation group received dual-mode health education combined with psychological counseling. The health knowledge mastery, treatment compliance, scar severity, psychological status and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total health knowledge mastery rate in the observation group (94.83%) was higher than that in the control group (72.41%) (P <0.05). The treatment compliance rate in the observation group (96.55%) was higher than that in the control group (77.59%) (P <0.05). The scores of scar color, thickness, vascular distribution, pliability and total VSS score in the observation group after intervention were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of SAS and SDS in the observation group after intervention were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The nursing satisfaction in the observation group (98.28%) was higher than that in the control group (82.76%) (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of dual-mode health education combined with psychological counseling in patients with scar repair has a good effect, which can improve patients' health knowledge mastery and treatment compliance, help to reduce scar severity, improve psychological status, and has positive significance for improving nursing satisfaction.
