Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application value of cosmetic suture technique in emergency patients with facial trauma, so as to provide guidance for plastic treatment of facial trauma. Methods A total of 86 patients with facial trauma who were treated in the Emergency Department of Luzhou TCM Hospital from July 2023 to July 2024 were selected, and they were divided into the control group (43 patients) and the observation group (43 patients) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with surgical debridement and suture technique, and the observation group was treated with cosmetic suture technique. The excellent and good rate of facial esthetics, wound healing satisfaction, treatment-related indicators and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate of facial esthetics in the observation group (95.35%) was higher than that in the control group (81.40%) (P <0.05). The satisfaction with wound healing in the observation group (97.67%) was higher than that in the control group (86.05%) (P <0.05). The scar length, scar score and hospitalization time in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group (2.33%) was lower than that in the control group (13.95%) (P <0.05). Conclusion Compared with surgical debridement and suture technique, the application of cosmetic suture technique in the plastic surgery treatment of facial trauma has a more ideal effect. It can improve the excellent and good rate of facial esthetics and satisfaction with wound healing, effectively reduce scarring, shorten hospitalization time, and reduce the incidence of related complications, which is worthy of clinical application.
