Abstract:Objective To explore the efficacy of hair nourishing and regrowth lotion combined with topical 5% minoxidil lotion in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. Methods A total of 90 patients with androgenetic alopecia admitted to the Department of Dermatology, Hubei Provincial Hospital of Integrated Chinese & Western Medicine from January 2023 to June 2024 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into group A, group B and group C by the random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. Group A was treated with hair nourishing and regrowth lotion combined with topical 5% minoxidil lotion, group B was treated with hair nourishing and regrowth lotion alone, and group C was treated with topical 5% minoxidil lotion alone. The clinical efficacy, hair density, hair diameter, satisfaction and adverse reaction rate were compared among the three groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in group A was higher than that in groups B and C (P <0.05). The hair density and hair diameter in group A at 3 and 6 months after treatment were greater than those in groups B and C (P <0.05). The satisfaction of group A was higher than that of group C (P <0.05). The satisfaction of group A was higher than that of group B, and the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups (P >0.05). Conclusion Hair nourishing and regrowth lotion combined with topical 5% minoxidil lotion has a good clinical effect in the treatment of patients with androgenetic alopecia, which is beneficial to improving hair density and hair diameter. It does not increase the incidence of adverse reactions, and thus improving patient satisfaction. It is worthy of clinical application.
