Objective To observe the effect of bracketless invisible orthodontics technology and fixed orthodontics technology on periodontal health indicators and satisfaction in adult orthodontics patients. Methods A total of 40 adult orthodontics patients admitted to Central People's Hospital of Zhanjiang from March 2022 to January 2023 were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, with 20 patients in each group. The control group was given fixed orthodontics technology, and the observation group was given bracketless invisible orthodontics technology. The periodontal health indicators, satisfaction and orthodontics effect were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of Gingival Index (GI), Plaque Index (PLI) and Sulcus Bleeding Index (SBI) in the observation group were (1.18±0.32)points, (1.09±0.20)points and (1.44±0.31)points, which were lower than (1.41±0.35)points, (1.36±0.23)points and (1.95±0.43)points in the control group (P <0.05). The total satisfaction score in the observation group was (42.90±4.93)points, which was higher than (39.57±4.71)points in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the total effective rate of treatment between the two groups (P >0.05). Conclusion Both bracketless invisible orthodontics and fixed orthodontics have good efficacy in adult orthodontics patients, but bracketless invisible orthodontics has better oral health maintenance and patient satisfaction.
