Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of orthodontics combined with oral implant therapy on dental aesthetics in patients with dentition defect. Methods A total of 100 patients with dentition defect admitted to Department of Stomatology, Linqu Jinpin Dental Clinic from January 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the control group and the experimental group by the random number table method, with 50 patients in each group. The control group received traditional orthodontics therapy, and the experimental group received orthodontics combined with oral implant therapy. The dental aesthetics, dental function, periodontal health status, treatment satisfaction and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of dental alignment, occlusal relationship and facial contour in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The treatment satisfaction of the experimental group was 98.00%, which was higher than 72.00% of the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the masticatory function score, sulcus bleeding index, periodontal pocket depth and dental caries incidence in the experimental group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 4.00%, which was lower than 16.00% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Orthodontics combined with oral implant therapy has advantages in dental alignment, occlusion, facial contour and satisfaction. It can effectively improve masticatory function and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical application.
