Abstract:Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) combined with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapy for patients with facial dermatitis. Methods A total of 80 patients with facial dermatitis who were treated in the outpatient department of Shaoguan Hospital of Chronic Disease Prevention and Treatment from January 2022 to September 2024 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the experimental group by the random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was given integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapy, and the experimental group was given PRP combined with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapy. The disease severity, quality of life, clinical efficacy, recurrence rate and adverse reaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the IGA score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the DLQI score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). The total effective rate of the experimental group (92.50%) was higher than that of the control group (70.00%) (P <0.05). The recurrence rate of the experimental group (5.00%) was lower than that of the control group (20.00%) (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group (10.00%) was lower than that in the control group (17.50%), but the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05). Conclusion The application of PRP combined with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapy for patients with facial dermatitis has a definite effect. It can improve the total effective rate, reduce the risk of recurrence, and does not increase the incidence of adverse reactions. It plays a positive role in improving the severity of the disease and quality of life, with good efficacy and safety.
