Abstract:Objective: To analyze the influence of flowable resin filling restoration on the aesthetic effect in patients with wedge-shaped defects of teeth. Methods: A total of 110 patients with wedge-shaped defects of teeth in our hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were included in the study. They were randomly divided into the reference group (55 cases, solid resin filling restoration) and the study group (55 cases, flowable resin filling restoration) by random number table method. The tooth sensitivity rate, periodontal indicators, aesthetic degree, quality of life, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results: The tooth sensitivity rate of the study group was lower than that of the reference group one month after treatment (P < 0.05); the periodontal indicator scores of the study group were lower than those of the reference group one month after treatment (P < 0.05); the aesthetic degree score of the study group was higher than that of the reference group one month after treatment (P < 0.05); the quality of life score of the study group was higher than that of the reference group one month after treatment (P < 0.05); the complication rate of the study group was lower than that of the reference group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Flowable resin filling restoration can effectively improve periodontal health, enhance tooth aesthetics and quality of life, and has a lower incidence of complications and tooth sensitivity.
