Abstract:: Objective: To explore the impact of the modified crown lengthening procedure in the restoration of upper anterior teeth with dental defects. Methods: 100 patients with upper anterior teeth dental defects who were treated from September 2023 to October 2025 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 50 cases in each group. The control group underwent conventional crown lengthening surgery, while the observation group received the modified crown lengthening procedure. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the therapeutic effect, dental aesthetics, and patient satisfaction of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the levels of periodontal indicators were lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The modified crown lengthening procedure can improve the therapeutic effect of upper anterior teeth dental defect restoration, achieve better aesthetic results, be more conducive to the long-term stability of postoperative periodontal health, and enhance the subjective satisfaction of patients.
