Objective To explore the effect of evidence-based nutritional intervention combined with acupoint moxibustion nursing on skin aesthetics in patients with postherpetic neuralgia treated with laser therapy. Methods A total of 82 patients with postherpetic neuralgia treated with laser therapy in Ningxian Second People's Hospital from January 2022 to January 2025 were selected as the research subjects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 41 patients in each group. The control group received conventional nursing, and the observation group was given evidence-based nutritional intervention combined with acupoint moxibustion nursing on the basis of conventional nursing. The intervention effect, pain intensity, skin aesthetics and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group (95.12%) was higher than that of the control group (75.61%) (P<0.05). After nursing, the NRS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the pain area reduction index was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). After nursing, the scores of skin lesions, skin color uniformity and skin color in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction rate of the observation group (97.56%) was higher than that of the control group (82.93%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Evidence-based nutritional intervention combined with acupoint moxibustion nursing can alleviate patients' pain, effectively improve skin aesthetics, and achieve higher nursing satisfaction.
