Abstract:Objective: To analyze the clinical efficacy, safety, and impact on patients" nasal aesthetic indicators of the method of using autologous nasal septum cartilage combined with ear cartilage transplantation for correction in nasal tip plastic surgery. Methods: From January 2023 to January 2025, 90 patients who underwent nasal tip plastic surgery in the plastic surgery department of our hospital were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 45 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with the method of autologous nasal septum cartilage combined with ear cartilage transplantation, while the control group was treated with silicone implant insertion. Postoperative follow-up was required for 6 months. The surgical correction effect, improvement of nasal aesthetic indicators, and postoperative complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Six months after the operation, the nasal tip protrusion, nasal tip height, nasolabial angle, and nasal tip symmetry of the observation group were better than those of the control group (P < 0.05). The postoperative complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Using the method of autologous nasal septum cartilage combined with ear cartilage transplantation for correction in nasal tip plastic surgery can achieve good correction results, improve the nasal aesthetic shape of patients, and have a lower postoperative complication rate, with good safety.
