Objective To explore the effect of Jinchan Zhiyang capsules on skin itching in patients with chronic eczema. Methods A total of 62 patients with chronic eczema admitted to People's Hospital of Leiyang from January to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 31 patients in each group. Both groups received routine treatment. The control group was treated with chlorphenamine maleate tablets, and the observation group was treated with Jinchan Zhiyang capsules on the basis of the control group. The treatment effect, skin lesion score, itching score, duration of treatment effect, VAS score and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96.77%, which was higher than 77.42% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the skin lesion score and itching score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The duration of treatment effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 6.45%, which was lower than 25.81% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Jinchan Zhiyang capsules can relieve symptoms such as skin itching and rashes in patients with chronic eczema, improve the treatment effect, have a good sustained effect, and the incidence of adverse reactions is lower.
